From 31st December 2023, Pittwater Camera Club has ceased trading and all assets have been distributed as per the Office of Fair Trading.
The sad decision to close was due to a number of facts including dwindling membership numbers brought on by Covid natural attrition and a lack of funding.
After nearly 67 years, the decision to close was not taken lightly by the Executive committee.
The Club started as a small group of photographic enthusiasts in a lounge room and grew to a number exceeding 50 members, some with many awards, both national and international.
The camaraderie and occasional friendly rivalry in competitions helped many budding amateur photographers improve their photographic skills.
Thank you everyone who contributed to the Club through the years.
Bill Roberts.
President ( Retired ).
Welcome to Pittwater Camera Club, the premiere Camera Club based on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Our aim is for members to share their enthusiasm and love of photography via competitions, lectures, presentations and social activities. We are a friendly, contemporary and progressive club with regular competitions that are aimed at improving photographic skills. Lectures are given by visiting photographers and professionals in the industry and encouragement is provided in the appreciation of the art of photography.
Membership is open to everyone who enjoys photography and we conduct photographic outings on a regular basis. The Club welcomes visitors to any of our meeting nights.
At the beginning of each year we publish our program for the next twelve months. It varies every year and we
try to have competition subjects, tutorials and presentations that stretch members' creative skills.
We Meet At: Pittwater RSL 82 Mona Vale Road, Mona Vale, NSW 2103 - Contact Us for Further Details and Follow Us on Facebook.
