Windows & Doors
Looking in, looking out. Old windows, old doors, new windows, new doors, cracked, warped or falling off their hinges. Let the subject tell the story.

Still Life
Still life is to depict a mostly inanimate subject in an interesting manner. Subjects are typically commonplace objects which may be either natural food, flowers, plants, rocks, or shells or man-made drinking glasses, books, vases, jewellery, coins and so on. Enhancement of the subject with the use of positional lighting is desirable.

Australian Landscape
An image of natural scenery where the Australian landscape or seascape is predominant, including coastal scenery, open sea, wave study, trees. Other elements, e.g., boats, houses etc should not dominate in the image.

Urban Landscape & Nature / Urban Grunge
Urban Landscape & Nature is a view of something relating to urban life in cities and towns. Urban Nature includes animals and plants in an urban situation, e.g, a bird on a fence post, non native plants. Domestic animals, birds and fish are excluded.
Grunge doesn't necessarily stand for dirty. Grunge can be represented by a dirty look, irregular shape, or may include strange elements.

Creative / Freestyle
Photographic image/s used in a way to create altered reality. This may utilise novel effects or techniques such as montage / collage / triptych / mixed media. Choice of subject is unrestricted and is to be presented in an unconventional rather than usual photographic manner

Human Form (Including Portraiture)
Arms, legs, fingers, toes, shoulders or backs. The human form can be any part of the human body that can be photographed artistically, imaginatively and tastefully.

Nature
For your images to be eligible for competitions outside of the club they will need to comply with the following definition: Nature photography depicts living, untamed animals and uncultivated plants in it's natural habitat, from insects to icebergs.
Photographs of animals that are domesticated, caged or under any form of restraint, as well as photographs of cultivated plants are ineligible.
Any manipulation or modification to the original image is limited to minor retouching of blemishes and must not alter the content of the original scene.
For our competition, we will apply more relaxed criteria and allow domesticated animals and cultivated plants.

Architecture
Architecture can be any eye catching man-made building or structure which has been captured in a different and imaginative manner.

Panoramas
Panoramic Photography is capturing images on a wider format, so as to include much more than what eyes can see naturally from a point.
